Betandy Wheatens began with Meg, Aust Ch Volmar Little Limerick, who came to us at eight weeks and promptly won our hearts. She was easy to train and show and genuinely loves to please. We have had two lovely litters from Meg and retained Maeve from her first litter.
Maeve, Aust Ch Betandy Bally Mena, is by Larnook Kilkelly, a lovely fellow of all Newkilber (Irish) lines. She is a loving, playful, gentle soul who has reared beautiful puppies and at present has two lovely puppies by Swaggy.
In 2001 Brandy, Aust Ch Glendowan Babington Brandy Imp UK, came to us from England. He was bred by Margaret House and is by the Irish dog Brayson Feilim of Glendowan and from Glendowan I'm a Birthday Girl. He has a really outstanding Irish coat and is adding new lines to the breed in Australia. We have bred several litters by him and presently have a lovely even litter of twelve puppies from Keyela.
Our other two Wheatens are of all Irish lines and came to us from Bayadeirann, NZ. First there is Keyela, Aust Ch Cadhla of Bayadeirann, a sweet little lady and wonderful mother. She is a delightful little lady, full of life and mischief and the darling of the kennel. She has been lightly shown and has won a Best in Group. Keyela has produced three lovely litters of puppies, the latest of 12 arrived late November 2008.
Then came Swaggy, Aust Ch Bayadeirann Jolly Swagman, who is a soft natured dog, gentle and loving but with all the spunk and determination of a true terrier. There has been several litters by him to date and all are of lovely Irish type.
Puppy and stud enquiries are welcome. From time to time we have puppies and rehomes available. We love to talk about Wheatens.
